Hey everyone, happy holidays! I hope everything has gone well for you all. It was a quiet holiday for myself. However around the holidays I have been busy.
As you can see, Undyne is hosting a new piece, "I missed you!" This is my first true couple piece that I'm starting to dive into. I still have lots to work on with couple pieces, lots of ideas so hopefully I can get them to canvas soon enough. Some have been wondering what's the deal with this Ayden guy, among some of the ladies who are completely in love with him (I don't blame you, but he's mine lol). What can I say he's the love of my many many lives. *winks* Seriously he's someone I'm just very attached to and is a part of what I'm writing my book on. My original story ended up taking a huge 360 and something else came up that was more... I don't want to say more important than the original story I was writing, but it seemed to be more of a priority over the original. So my original story is on hold and I am working on this one that features some of the people you've seen in the gallery. Will I ever get my writing projects done? Only God knows because the time I actually do get to sit down and write, it's like rare. Goodness so much to do and so little time. Oh well if I ever do end up getting this book out, there will be a huge announcement. Maybe you guys can help spread the word and all to help get the info out there when it does come out. I can just see it now, my book sitting in the book store and people staring at it with their eyebrow raised "Who the heck is this Natasha chick?" Yeah...
Something new, I'm going to start hosting a featured song with the new pieces that are up. I'm not sure if this is going to be permanent or not, it depends on the feedback I get whether people think it's a good idea to add to the mood or just leave the art piece as is.....and bandwidth. lol That's a huge indicator if I can manage that or not. Keep in mind I am very diverse when it comes to music and I'll usually host the music that helped inspire the piece so you all can see what I'm listening to when I'm doing my art. If you don't like the song and it just annoys you, just turn it off. There will be a little icon on the bottom left of the screen to where you can do so. So no hate-mails of "Your song sucks! Take it off!"
So now it'll be a bit until a new piece comes up. I'll probably be straying away from the Ayden topic and his "friends" because I'm saving the rest of the images for my book. Yay for adult illustrative books! Wait...not that kind, I meant pictures in books, for an older crowd. Kids aren't the only ones that like pretty pictures.
Stay tuned for up-coming stuff and thanks for coming by!
Take care!

Hi everyone, I hope the months have been kind to you all. As for me it's been kicking my butt...but it has its good moments so I won't complain too much. The anniversary of my best friend Trey going missing had just passed on the 12th so it was a hard time for me but then again losing a loved one never is easy....and then having that obvious annual reminder (not that you're not always reminded) that someone you cherished was taken away from you isn't something anyone is fond of, I know. Also on top of everything my husband is yet again off to Iraq, which is sad on its own. (I love you!) So I've been very busy managing everything but I have really great support of my family and friends. (thank you *hugs*)
So what's going on with me art-wise? I've actually been studying how to draw animals as they elude me. I've done human anatomy for 20 years and can safely say I'm comfortable with that...so now it was time to step outside my comfort zone a little and tackle animals as I'm not comfortable with them at all. The piece "Contentment" took me forever because of my sweet wolf but I finally got him the way he was supposed to look. I know I've done an animal piece before "The Scouting" with Drizzt and Guen which she took forever too....however that picture was actually my wake up call to start trying animals because it was difficult for me. My art mentor, Mr. Fleur, bless him, would have yelled at me a long time ago for putting it off this long but he can rest peacefully as I'm doing it now...better late then never Mr. Fluer! You can keep "the look" to yourself!
Also something else I will be attempting...couple portraits emphasizing romance, intimacy and maybe the not so "sweet" side of it too. So yeah that'll be something different...hopefully my parents won't hide and be like "What in the world is wrong with our child!" on some of the more bolder ones I'll be attempting. *giggles*But one thing at a time I say.
Anyway please enjoy these pieces that are up! Like most of my artwork, they are sentimental to me and I hope they bring something special to you all.
Best wishes everyone and take care!

Hi everyone, I know it's been forever since my last piece but as we all know life is unpredictable and busy at times. Nothing really new to announce other than I'm able to do my art again which I'm happy about. I swear if I can't do it for a while, I get wacky and scare my loved ones.
So about this new piece, the description pretty much says it all. It is a self portrait of myself in there with my best friend *tears*. I was stuck on the setting I wanted for quite a while but I think this one works out wonderfully. The only thing that bugs me (and this includes most of my art pieces on this site) is that many of the details get lost or distorted (designs, textures and faces) due to shrinking the images to fit on this site. Most of the images are past 900 x 900 in their original forms...hopefully one day I can actually get prints done or something and people can see the real deal of them. Until then I apologize for the make due.
Anyway you all keep it real and take care!

Hi everyone, I just wanted to give you all a heads up that I'll be starting my artwork back up soon as I did take some time off to spend with family and manage other things. :)
Sorry for the delay in pieces but I haven't abandoned them, I promise, they just take a little bit of time. I still have a lot of things planned for this place!
Hope you all had a great holiday and take care!

Just to let everyone know that if you're having problems with the website, it's not you. The server was down this morning and there are currently problems with images showing up as well as sometimes the website won't load in general. I'm waiting for this to be fixed.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience, we'll be fully functional soon (that is so wide open for a joke! lol). I hope everyone's doing well and best wishes to you all. :)
Take care!

Hey everyone,It's been a while since I've been on but I took some time off for myself to "regenerate" a bit and pull myself together since it's been rough. I'm doing a little better, one day at time and all. You know that saying, when it rains, it pours.
There is still no word on Trey and his two fellow teammates' whereabouts. It's been a nightmare but mostly my heart's with his younger brother who's always been family.
I just wanted to send my love and respect out to you guys who've been so supportive. You guys are so amazing and I appreciate everything you've offered in thoughts, prayers and just caring.
Okay so this new art piece I did was actually inspired by Trey as he's the one who introduced me to the Legend of Drizzt saga a while back and I thought this was a good time to do something constructive and positive. It's funny since Drizzt reminds me a lot of him so I thought this was fitting.
I do hope you enjoy the new piece. It's currently untitled as it's not hit me yet but I'm sure it'll come to me soon. :) They usually do.
Eventually I will be having a series gallery up soon...lots of work with Undyne but it's worth the work.
Thanks everyone and take care!

Hi everyone. It's been a tough year. Recently I just found out my best friend overseas is currently missing with two other members from his team. I'm praying very hard right now and hoping for any kind of good news, especially for the families.
I'm going to be taking some time off from my work and such. I'm currently working on two pieces to put up in the gallery but right now I'm lacking in the creativity to finish them at this time.
Thanks so much for the support of Undyne and my work everyone, you guys are wonderful as always. If you've recently sent me any emails, I'll do my best to get back with you as soon as I'm able to when I return.
Talk with you all soon and take care,
Natasha

Hi everyone! Well it's been a year now since I first introduced my first picture, "Please Humor Me", after my slow recovery from the art theft drama I had back in the day. I just wanted to say that I'm really surprised and grateful for the wonderful response I've been getting from you all about the work I do. I know I've said this before but you all truly do inspire me and give me a lot of encouragement to keep going. I don't want you to think your emails go to waste, they always touch home with me and I'm always happy to get them.
A little about the new piece that's up. Dark Angel (no relation to the former TV show,) is actually from a Devil May Cry Fan-fiction I wrote. It's like over 100 pages long. Can you say motivated? Hah! It can be found on the forum I admin at "What Lies Beyond" if anyone is interested in reading it, but you do have to register since it's a secure forum. Mind you my writing style is still in development when I wrote it then. It's been about a year since that piece was written. And yes it is mature rated, I decided to be a little bit daring. Go me and my rebellious self.
Anyway, this art piece I did is a very simple head-shot but I'm hoping I captured something in it. I did use some of my own features because I was having issues coming up with a solid visual of her. As I like to commonly say, if all else fails, use what you know best, yourself. But I will be touching her up later. She still needs a little work. Not much but a few things.
So back to work on my book and other things. Another piece will be coming out shortly. He's taking a bit longer than I wanted but I think the ladies will like him. lol
Take care all!

Hey everyone, just a few things to consider(because I didn't know this), if you saved any of my images to your computer, there's nothing I can do about that, but can you do me a really big favor and not store my images on any online storage sites (ie Photobucket, etc.) The reason being is that those images are actually not private and people can run a search on the general site for whatever they're looking for and browse your files and take what they want.
Someone was nice enough to point out that my images are now being used for myspace (and other site) layouts and these people are getting my images (along with other artists' images) from these online storages. Most of the people have been really nice and understanding and worked with me, but I've run across a few that are stressing me out, not understanding that they're actually causing more damage then helping by posting our stuff everywhere.
So I'd really appreciate it if you just keep it on your computer. It'll help me out a lot and keep the motivation going on my end (as well as food on the table, lol)
.
Thanks so much guys! And thanks to those who really have been looking out for me. You've been a big help.
Take care,
Natasha

A new piece is put up. This gentleman is a plane-touched. Not sure if any of you are familiar with the plane-touched (some RPers might know), but they're those that have had a parent that was human, and the other parent was either demon or angel (and if I'm wrong, anyone feel free to correct me).
Tau's my half-demon who's always misunderstood but a nice guy.
(I'm sure it's the story of our lives, right? lol) Granted he's one of the good guys but he's part of the "Darker Races" so later on he'll be put in the Gallery of Darkness if you decide to look for him later.
I took my time on him adding my familiar detailing. Yeah I do go cross-eyed by the time I'm done with a piece but it's worth the efforts and the glasses I'll need in the end. Anyways, I hope you guys like him!
Take care!

My trip to Germany was nice (family reunion) but the flight was killer and the passport personnel that checked me in was a jerk. But I've been back for a few days recuperating, I'm pretty tired from the long trip. As that saying goes, I need a vacation from my vacation. heheh..
Anyway, I'm catching up on stuff here so if you emailed me and I haven't answered yet, I promise you'll get a response from me shortly. I just wanted to make sure you guys knew I haven't forgotten you. Never could, you guys are inspiring and encouraging, thank you!
Quick note on what's going on with Undyne. I'm still experimenting with templates to compliment more of the style of work I do. It's a little hard right now finding the right one so this one will have to do until I find the one. Yes I am very very picky. lol I do have plans to make "series" pieces and hoping to host them in their own galleries on Undyne. That'll be a while however since I'm still working on the ideas.
Currently I am working on a new individual piece though. The public pieces for the gallery may come out a little slower than before, I apologize, but it's because I'm also working very very hard on my book, plus the illustrations (which is a lot), and home life as well. So I just thought I'd let you all know that I haven't dropped off the face of the earth, that I have a lot of projects going on all at once and still seeing if I can master the art of duplicating myself to accomplish it all. lol (it hasn't worked yet but I think I'm close)
Take care! ~ Natasha

Hi everyone, just to let you know I won't be available to answer emails for the next 2 weeks as I'm going on a much needed vacation. As soon as I get back, you'll hear from me.

Hi everyone! Well the gallery's back up with your suggestions of giving watermarking a try. I really hope things will go well.
A new site banner and link banner have been made a long with the welcome page. I hope you guys like it. Please be patient with the uploading of the site.
If you want to upgrade your link banner to the new one, feel free to copy the code. Again my deepest thanks!
Thanks for all the support and encouragement! It means a lot!

I hope everyone had a fun and safe New Year. Well this is on my profile page at myspace but I'm going to go ahead and put the Undyne banner code here for you as well. It'll always be located at the top of Announcements. I figured it'd be a lot easier then having to send it out individually. I know, I should have just done this in the first place. lol
Just copy and paste what's in the table to where you would like the banner to show up. And thank you so much for hosting them. I'm very grateful to the dedication and support I'm getting from you all.
Also to let you know I'm actually working on two new pieces, males subjects this time...I looked and thought, "We need more guys on here!" lol
So I'm going to be working on our boys for a while. I've got many original ideas swarming me but since I can't do them all, I'm writing them down so I won't forget them. The two new pieces I'm doing are existing characters so those won't be original characters from me, but they're soon to come.
I know right now I'm not currently doing paid submissions but I will be starting them up soon. I've got to get a few things worked out, like a payment plan set up and a place where clients can securely view their new piece before a closing to make sure everything is okay. I have a very good lead on all of it so that's good news. But when everything is up and running, there'll be an announcement on here and on myspace that I'm taking submissions. So that's something to look forward to for those of you that are wanting me to do character portraits for you.
Until then, I'll be doing my usual and some new races will be coming up. I'll be adding angels, fairies and demon hybrids, but if there is something you would like to see that hasn't been done yet or just not enough of, feel free to let me know, I always love feedback from you guys!
Thanks again everyone! Take care! -- Natasha

I'd like to address something.... I'm finding more of my artwork being taken and even altered and then distributed without being asked. Please note that's stealing. Just because it's on the internet doesn't make it any less so and doesn't mean someone can just take what they want and do with it what they will. The internet is just another way of being able to view something as if you were going to a gallery in real life. I don't think you'd just walk up to a painting and take it.... I at least hope not.
Many assume that if they just give the appropriate credit to the artist in terms of not claiming it as their own, that it's "okay" for them to take it. If permission was not obtained, unfortunately it is still stealing.
Because of this, I'm now dealing with people known as "Tubers" that alter artwork without permissin and claim it as there own by adding cheap, flashy clip art to it and passing it around saying it's "free of rights" . They think this is okay however it's not. They are thieves to many artists and personally I don't care for them. (Not trying to offend anyone here but being honest.)
Just as a remind, all the images on this site are not to be taken at all. Please Humor Me was allowed for private use only and to be personal RP avatars, nothing more. Also I allowed the picture to be hosted on websites as long as the image is in it's original state and credit went to me along with a link to my site. Whatever else you see from me out there is flat out stolen. No permission was obtained. That is the reason I disabled right-clicking. Yes I know it can be easily by-passed but the disable right click is set only as a reminder that I don't want the pictures taken from my site. Please respect that. If you want something from me, please don't be afraid to contact me.
It's discouraging and not very fun to find something you've worked very hard on defaced and glitterized and whatever else the person responsible for the alteration felt the need to do to it. I apologize if I'm coming off negatively but think about how you'd feel if something sentimental of yours was stolen and then defaced. It just takes some understanding. I'm not sure why this has to be something "unrealistic" to expect.
This is the main reason why I was some what hesitant to start back up again. I already had an art piece stolen on a more serious level, to have to deal with this is very discouraging and hurting my motivation to do any of this.
Please be considerate and help prevent stolen art from getting around. Deepest thanks. --Natasha
December 23, 2006:
New art is up, was feeling a bit in the mood for the holidays and thought I'd make a contribution. I hope you guys like her!
Not sure if many of you are familiar with the Snow Queen (aside from Narnia) but in Germany where I was raised, she had a story of her own that was a little different. But yeah...she was still a bit evil! lol Beauty can come with a price I guess.
Something new, if anyone is interested in showing some luv and wouldn't mind hosting a small Undyne banner that looks like this
on their site (personal websites, blogs, myspace, migente, etc) fell free to email me and I'll send you the html code for you to copy and paste. I know some have asked me already and I didn't have anything....I didn't even think of it until afterward! lol Still getting used to the fact that people actually like my stuff.
(trust me it's an adjustment when one of your art teachers back in the day tells you that your work wouldn't stand out.) You can also ask me if you're on my space. I have a profile up there. The link is on the Welcome Page and The Artist section to get in contact with me. Don't mind all the Dante stuff on there....you guys already know about my Dante fetish. lol
Thanks again guys for all the encouragement! Have a Happy Christmas and rock in the New Year! Be safe! --Natasha
